Seven methods are available, including basic approaches like One Pass Zeros and more advanced algorithms such as the Peter Gutmann method, which involves 35 overwrite cycles. Recognizing the irreversible nature of drive wiping, Disk Wipe implements multiple confirmation prompts. Before commencing the erasure, the program requests user confirmation twice. This added layer of caution reduces the risk of unintentional formatting.

Disk Wipe is a portable application, requiring no installation and leaving no residual files on the machine. Limitations

It should be noted that Disk Wipe is intended for whole drive erasure only. The program does not support wiping individual files or folders, restricting its scope to complete storage devices.
